Kainan sa Dalampasigan: Nasugbu's hidden gem

Kainan sa Dalampasigan is where we ate lunch when we went on an overnight trip to Canyon Cove in Nasugbu, Batangas. I'd say it's a good 15-20 minutes drive from the beach. It's a good alternative to the resort's restaurant.

The restaurant's name is a misnomer as it was nowhere near the dalampasigan. I'm not sure why it was named that. The place actually has a magical forest kind of feel to it. All the greenery is so relaxing and definitely a welcome change from what we are used to in the city.

Kainan sa dalampasigan bilao (about Php 500)
 I can't remember the exact prices of what we ate but the taste, I'll never forget. Everything was so yummy in this bilao. The baked mussels with the creamy, buttery cheese topping is just to die for. The halabos sa hipon was so simple and fresh. The fried bangus has a different taste to it and distances itself from your regular pritong bangus. And of course the liempo, was just cooked right. The ensaladang mangga was a great siding for all these.

Sisig (About Php 200)
  They have a large serving for the sisig. But it was not my kind of sisig. It was too fatty for me.

Halo halo (about Php 65)
The sweet tooth in me will not pass up the chance to have dessert. I ordered halo-halo. It has your usual sweet beans, minatamis na saging and gulaman...nothing special there. The leche flan was rich and may be a better choice to order than the halo-halo.
